Crop for Kids EXCLUSIVE embellishments!

Yes, it's finally time for the grand unveiling of our exclusively designed Crop for Kids embellishments. That's right ladies, you can't get these gorgeous pieces anywhere except through us! We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Scrapware, Crafty Matters & Julie's Craft Stop who so generously agreed to donate a limited number of these products so that 100% of the sales price can be given to the Good Friday Appeal.

Check them out!

Aren't they fantastic! And at only $2 a pack, extremely affordable.

Descriptions:
Chipboard people - made by Scrapware and designed by our competition winner, Samantha Plowright these people are made from strong chipboard and stand approximately 2" tall. They come in a pack of one boy and one girl and link together in any combination, so why not buy a few sets and make a whole family! It takes 8 people (4 packs) to completely span a 12" page.

Ceramic pack - made by Crafty Matters this star and circle pack is made from strong, glazed ceramic. Each is approximately 1" tall making it the perfect size for any scrapbooking project.

Acrylic rocket - It can be hard to find great boyish embellishments, and this funky acrylic rocket is one of the coolest we've seen. Made by Julie's Craft Stop, it is approximately 3.5" tall.

If you keep an eye on this blog in the coming weeks you'll see pages by our guest designers using these fantastic pieces. We'd also love to see anything that YOU create! So send us photos and we'll add them to our sidebar as inspiration for everyone.

Postage:
$1.80 for up to 8 packs sent within Australia. Postage on orders of more than 8 packs, or postage outside Australia will be calculated on a case by case basis.

Ordering information:
Orders can be placed via email to cropforkids@gmail.com
You need to include your name and address and the quantity of each embellishment you require. The total cost will be sent to you along with payment instructions. In all cases, payment must be received before the embellishments can be sent to you.

Be quick! We do have a limited number of these and you know you'd hate to miss out!

Online Class 2: Cake Slice Gift Box

After the first successful online class, we have another one awaiting you. I am feeling quite awkward introducing myself as the next online class tutor. LOL...

I will tell you a little bit about myself for those of you who don't know me. I am Michelle Vass, a SAHM of 2 kids who are too clever for me to keep up with. I have been scrapping for 2 years and am currently designing for For Keeps Creative Scrapbooking magazine, Addicted to Craft (Australian distributor) and a new home-grown Australian brand, Blueye Dezines. This is my first online class, so I hope you like what I have in store for you.

It is a Cake Slice Gift Box - a handy little gift box for you to present your gifts. Be it lollies, choccies, Easter eggs, a baby's tee (carefully folded) or even a little RAK for your scrapbooking friends! Use it for birthdays, for Christmas, for Easter or a 'just because' gift ..... It is genuinely a nice little surprise. These are the little sneak peeks.

If you are interested in joining me, these are the details of the class.

Date: Thursday, 4th October 2007
Time: 7.30pm - 9.30pm
Cost: $10.00 per person (own materials)
Tutor: Michelle Vass

Register now! Remember you don't have to be 'available' at the specified time for the class. You can have access to the template and class instructions even though you can't make it during the time specified. Although if you can make it, it would be great to have you around for a chat, or any Q&A. The instructions will be left in the classroom until the Sunday after the class.

To register or to ask any questions, please EMAIL US.

First Online Class: SUCCESS!!

We had our first online class on Thursday night. It was really good! Everyone was happy doing their layouts, some chatting with Lou, and some even completed the layout that same night! Overall, a great success!

Thank you, Lou and all the participants. We really appreciate your contribution and participation. The funds raised for this class will be donated to the Royal Children's Hospital's Good Friday Appeal. On behalf of the committee, I thank you all very much.

The class instructions will remain in the classroom until tomorrow. So if you haven't gone in to take down the details, please do so by tomorrow. If you have finished your layout, please feel free to EMAIL US or Michelle so we can share it on this blog.

I will have details of the next online class up later.

CHEERS!

Update on Lou's online class

Hi everyone.....

Thought we will give everyone an update on Lou's online class. It is filling up quickly and we are very thrilled to see everyone so excited about it. So if you haven't registered, don't wait any longer! :)

We have also received a few enquiries from some very interested scrappers, who are very keen on taking the class but won't be available on the day itself (or at the specified time). Well, the beauty or flexibility of most online classes, is that you don't have to be physically present during the time of the class. The step-by-step instructions will be uploaded onto the password-protected blog and will be left there up until the Sunday after the class. Our tutors will be available during the time of the class to answer your questions if you have any, and will continue to answer any questions you have up until the Sunday. So technically, the classroom is open for you for a few days, and we hope that should help most of the willing but unable. :)

Should you have any further queries about online classes, please feel free to drop us an email. We'll be happy to assist. :)

Until then... sign up, sign up, sign up!!!! :) :) :)

Our first "Bigger and Better"....

Did anyone bother to take a guess at my hints from the last entry??????? LOL

So you can't come to Melbourne for Crop For Kids?? We bring Crop For Kids to you! :) :) One of our bigger and better plans for Crop For Kids, is to let more people from interstate (or even international) who are willing but not able, to still be part of this great cause. How else but to start conducting ONLINE CLASSES???!!! YES!!!!!!!! We have an impressive list of scrapbooking gurus lined up for you. They will be making layouts, projects, and even imparting some Photoshop tips and tricks (don't we all like this?!)! And proceeds will go towards Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.

Without further ado, I shall introduce our first scrapbooker who has agreed to teaching a layout for CFK, Louise Spiden. Lou is an avid scrapbooker who design and teaches for Simply Scrapbooking in Eltham, and is also on the Design Team for The Scrapbook Establishment. You may also see some of Lou's layouts here. If you don't know Lou yet, she is bubbly and nutty. You'll have tonnes of fun doing her class. Here are some sneak peeks of the layout Lou will be teaching.

Here are the details of the class:

Date: Thursday, 20th September 2007
Time: 7.30-9.30pm
Cost: $10.00

So what are you waiting for? To register for Lou's class, or for any queries, please EMAIL US HERE.
